IT Management, and Media Services Management teamed up with MCPc and ContractSource (MCPc’s Educational Design/Build Consultant partner) to create a classroom design and technology standardization program that streamlined costs and provided a complete methodology for the procurement and implementation process. An important consideration was to increase the level of user support and develop a strategy for placing hardware devices for each technology classroom on the network so they could be managed and supported remotely. This would increase response time and lower the overall cost of ownership. These standards were then placed on a customized web site that allows the company to configure and design a class room based on the standards for the college.
The program provides for future continuity, scalability and a methodology for implementing technology tools to enhance the learning experience of students, while increasing retention and productivity of the faculty. |
